The path of avoiding basic stat buffs is also going to be followed with this evolution. The barrel and goblins inside the main barrel will be just like the normal ones. The evolution will revolve around the special ability instead.
Goblin Barrel is not a popular win condition, but like Hog Rider and other iconic archetypes, it always has very strong players who use it consistently. Last season, 20 players finished in the top 1,000 with it.
Evolution Ability: Decoy Barrel!
Which is the real one? Which is the decoy? You won’t be able to tell until the Goblins are already on your tower.
Whenever you throw a Goblin Barrel, a decoy is thrown to the mirrored position in the opposite lane. This means that if you throw the true barrel to the left tower, the decoy will be thrown to the right tower.
Decoy Goblins aren’t simply a distraction, they somehow seem alive and deal damage!
Do they have a robotic skeleton? We don’t know, you’ll have to ask the goblins who made them, but we can tell you about their stats.

You can see that these decoys deal the same amount of damage as normal Goblins, but they have 60% less HP; the same HP that Skeletons have.
This means that decoys will die to Zap, Tower Princess… almost all damage sources will one-shot them.
Evolution Cycles
Goblin Barrel needs 2 Cycles to activate the evolution, so 1 in every 3 deploys will be evolved.
Evolution Release
The Goblin Barrel Evolution will be released on June 3rd, with the start of the new season.
Usually, card evolutions are released slightly before the end of the season, which is the first Monday of the month. As soon as this happens, you can unlock it with Wild Shards. After the new season begins, players who buy the Diamond Pass Royale get 6 Goblin Barrel shards to unlock it.
